First digital art in TU/e collection

The first digital artwork ever aquired by TU/e, is the videoproduction ‘Eindhoven’ by the Polish/Swedish artist Mateusz Herczka.

Herczka filmed Eindhoven in 2008, as a commission of MAD emergent art center for their Image Radio event.

Eerste digitale kunst in TU/e collectie

Het eerste digitale kunstwerk dat de TU/e in haar bestaan heeft aangekocht, is de videoproductie ‘Eindhoven’ van de Pools/Zweedse kunstenaar Mateusz Herczka.

Herczka bracht in 2008 Eindhoven in kaart, als kunstopdracht van MAD emergent art center dat in de binnenstad het Image Radio event organiseerde.

Brains Award
to Transit Mantra

Céline de Waal Malefijt has won the first prize with her idea and prototype of Transit Mantra. The professional jury decided to reward her with the first Brains Award. The development of Transit Mantra is realised during her Artist in Residence period at MAD, Spring 2009.

Caféin


The first theme of Caféin is Eindhoven Energy Neutral! with targets the citizens of Eindhoven and focus on the first steps towards an energy neutral Eindhoven in 2045.

The city of Eindhoven wants to be an energy-neutral city in 2045. The City Council has expressed this in the approved climate Implementation Program 2009 - 2012.. This means that all energy that is used within the local community is generated in a sustainable manner within its municipal boundaries. This can only happen if everyone in Eindhoven, citizens, businesses and institutions contribute directly. 		creatief

Caféin

Het eerste thema van Caféin is Eindhoven Energieneutraal! met als doelgroep gewone Eindhovenaren en als focus de eerste stappen op weg naar een energieneutraal Eindhoven in 2045.

In 2045 wil Eindhoven een energieneutrale stad zijn. Dat heeft de gemeenteraad als intentie uitgesproken in het goedgekeurde Uitvoeringsprogramma klimaatbeleid 2009 – 2012.. Dit betekent dat de gemeente alle energie die binnen de gemeente wordt gebruikt op duurzame wijze binnen haar gemeentegrenzen opwekt. Dat kan alleen als iedereen in Eindhoven, burgers, bedrijven en instellingen daar direct aan bijdragen.

Moodwall (IR07) wins Dutch Design Award 2009

The Moodwall in Amsterdam Bijlmer, developed as an art installation for Image Radio 2007 has won the prize for best product in public space. Proof for concrete results following artistic experiments with technology.

De Moodwall in de Amsterdamse Bijlmer, die als kunstinstallatie werd ontwikkeld voor Image Radio 2007 heeft de prijs voor beste product voor de openbare ruimte gewonnen. Een bewijs dat er concrete resultaten volgen op artistieke experimenten met technologie.
