Upgrade!

The first Upgrade! Eindhoven was in 2008. Upgrade! is a meeting of people who are on the same level in art and technology. It’s a network of all different kind of networks which are spreaded over the whole world.
On a day like that groups of people are coming together to exchange ideas.

De eerste Upgrade! Eindhoven was in 2008. Upgrade! is een ontmoeting van gelijkgestemden wat betreft kunst en technologie. Het is een soort netwerk van allemaal verschillende soorten netwerken die zich over de hele wereld bevinden. Op zo’n dag komt een groep mensen samen om ideeën uit te wisselen.

Is searching for new art by connecting artists and high-tech entrepreneurs and scientists. Etac organises meetings to get coöperation between those completly different target groups.

Mad, Pravdada, 6e Kolonne and Visual Girlbot Facility are the founders of the OK-Net, the art channel of high bandwidth glassfiber networks. Fiber to the brains. Live events, on demand streaming and downloads of video, audio and interactive media art are the possibilities. Constant upgrading of bandwidth and storing capability insures for a fresh art experience time and time again.

For the fourth series of NetArt from the MADlab, multimedia graphical designer Lutsen Stellingwerff has created Colorstalker. The theme of this project is Visual Culture anno 2005.
